Manic Panic Raven is a classic black semi-permanent hair dye. Whether you are pairing this with a gothic look or are searching for a true black shade with a hint of colour to mimic a ravens feather, then this hair dye from the High Voltage range can help you achieve your dream shade.

Our classic range has been around ever since the beginning of the Manic Panic journey with Tish and Snooky in 1977 New York. The collection is made up of highly pigmented colours with added moisture to keep hair conditioned whilst appearing vibrant. The Manic Panic colours are still known to be a favourite within the creative hair industry.

⚡ How many 118ml pots will I need to cover my hair? ⚡

✨ Short to bob length hair: 1- 2 pots depending on the thickness of hair.

✨ Shoulder to waist length hair: 2 - 3 pots depending on the thickness of hair. May require an extra pot to complete ends if the hair is thick.

✨ Waist and below length hair: 3 + pots depending on thickness.

For Best Results

Even those with a medium to light brown hair shade should consider pre-lightening their hair before dyeing. For this shade, we recommend lightening hair, with bleach, to a shade 6. A Manic Panic Flash Lightning Kit is sure to help lighten your hair and ready it for semi-permanent hair dye.

Please note: the finished visual effect of this hair dye can often give a green tint or hue, this is due to the base colour of the dye itself. The effect can vary dependent on the shade of the natural hair colour and the porosity. Always perform a strand test before use.

Medium Blonde (Current Product)

Due to its highly pigmented formula, this shade can be applied to a medium blonde base or lighter. Please note, that the lighter the base the colour to more more noticeable and vibrant the pigmentation will appear.

Bleached Blonde

This shade can be applied to a bleached blonde base. Bleached blonde hair can contain some yellow tones so is better suited to shades with a warmer hue.

Light Blonde

This shade should be applied to a light blonde base or above. A light blonde and toned base will not interfere with the majority of our colours and should produce visibly vibrant results.

White Blonde

This shade will require a level 10 white blonde base. This shade does not hold as much pigmentation within its formula so will need a blank canvas in order to produce a visible result.

Faster Fade Rate

Those shades that appear lighter in tone will be the first to fade. Pastel shades and light shades hold less pigmentation within the formulas; this enables the colour to fade much quicker than those that produce vibrant and bold results. These shades make a great option for those who enjoy changing their hair colour on a regular basis or are only able to colour their hair for a certain amount of time.

Regular Fade Rate

These shades hold a standard amount of pigmentation so tend to fade at a regular rate of 4-6 weeks. This can differ due to certain actions such as how the colour is maintained and the base colour that the colour was originally applied to.

Bolder For Longer (Current Product)

Due to high pigmentation levels, these shades are expected to stick around between 6-8+ weeks. The longevity of your colour can be altered depending on how the colour is maintained once coloured, however, it is best to ensure you are committed to the colour due to its added pigmentation.

These colours will appear their brightest on pre-lightened hair between a level 7-10 depending on the shade. However, you might find with some of our highly pigmented and deeper shades can produce a muted hue on a darker base colour.
