We’re keeping things classically bold with the Manic Panic High Voltage Classic Colour in Pillarbox Red. Known to be the brightest and most true red tone within the Manic Panic collection, this highly pigmented formula has experienced it all! Pillarbox Red Manic Panic has been worn by celebrities and icons right across the globe for years and now it’s your turn to give this colour the ride of its life!
With such a highly pigmented formula and vibrant finish, Pillarbox Red is a great choice for many different base colours. Of course, if you’re looking for that in-your-face pop of red we recommend applying your Pillarbox Red to a base colour between a level 9-10 blonde. However, applying Manic Panic Pillarbox Red on unbleached hair can leave a deep cherry-red hue!
Remember, the darker your base colour, the darker your result.
With its 100% vegan and cruelty-free formulas, the High Voltage Classic Colour range is iconic within the world of semi-permanent creative colour. ⚡ How many 118ml pots will I need to cover my hair? ⚡
✨ Short to bob length hair: 1- 2 pots depending on the thickness of hair.
✨ Shoulder to waist-length hair: 2 - 3 pots depending on the thickness of hair. May require an extra pot to complete ends if the hair is thick.
✨ Waist and below length hair: 3 + pots depending on thickness.
For Best Results
Even those with a medium to light brown hair shade should consider pre-lightening their hair before dyeing. For this shade, we recommend lightening hair, with bleach, to a shade 8. A Manic Panic Flash Lightning Kit is sure to help lighten your hair and ready it for semi-permanent hair dye.

Bleach Level Needed

Due to its highly pigmented formula, this shade can be applied to a medium blonde base or lighter. Please note, that the lighter the base the colour to more more noticeable and vibrant the pigmentation will appear.

Bleached Blonde
(Current Product)
This shade can be applied to a bleached blonde base. Bleached blonde hair can contain some yellow tones so is better suited to shades with a warmer hue.

This shade should be applied to a light blonde base or above. A light blonde and toned base will not interfere with the majority of our colours and should produce visibly vibrant results.

This shade will require a level 10 white blonde base. This shade does not hold as much pigmentation within its formula so will need a blank canvas in order to produce a visible result.

Faster Fade Rate
Those shades that appear lighter in tone will be the first to fade. Pastel shades and light shades hold less pigmentation within the formulas; this enables the colour to fade much quicker than those that produce vibrant and bold results. These shades make a great option for those who enjoy changing their hair colour on a regular basis or are only able to colour their hair for a certain amount of time.

Regular Fade Rate

These shades hold a standard amount of pigmentation so tend to fade at a regular rate of 4-6 weeks. This can differ due to certain actions such as how the colour is maintained and the base colour that the colour was originally applied to.

Bolder For Longer
Due to high pigmentation levels, these shades are expected to stick around between 6-8+ weeks. The longevity of your colour can be altered depending on how the colour is maintained once coloured, however, it is best to ensure you are committed to the colour due to its added pigmentation.
