Manic Panic Rockabilly Blue Amplified is a strong shade of blue hair colour that's certainly a popular pick. The Manic Panic blue shade is perfect for achieving the perfect punk or alt hairstyle. Go bold with your next hairstyle and try out this bright blue tone.
Our classic range has been around ever since the beginning of the Manic Panic journey with Tish and Snooky in 1977 New York. The collection is made up of highly pigmented colours with added moisture to keep hair conditioned whilst appearing vibrant. The Manic Panic colours are still known to be a favourite within the creative hair industry.
⚡ How many 118ml pots will I need to cover my hair? ⚡
✨ If you have bob length hair and above, we find 1 pot of our dyes will do the full head whether your hair is thin or thick.
✨ If you have between shoulder to waist length hair, we suggest purchasing 2 pots for thin hair. If you have fairly thick hair you may want to purchase an extra pot to complete your ends.
✨ Hair that is from the lower back and longer will require 3 or more pots for both thin and thick hair.
This Amplified Rockabilly Blue shade also features the NEW EU-Compliant hair dye formula.
For Best Results
Even those with a medium to light brown hair shade should consider pre-lightening their hair before dyeing. For this shade, we recommend lightening hair, with bleach, to a shade 9. A Manic Panic Flash Lightning Kit is sure to help lighten your hair and ready it for semi-permanent hair dye.

Bleach Level Needed

Due to its highly pigmented formula, this shade can be applied to a medium blonde base or lighter. Please note, that the lighter the base the colour to more more noticeable and vibrant the pigmentation will appear.

Bleached Blonde
(Current Product)
This shade can be applied to a bleached blonde base. Bleached blonde hair can contain some yellow tones so is better suited to shades with a warmer hue.

This shade should be applied to a light blonde base or above. A light blonde and toned base will not interfere with the majority of our colours and should produce visibly vibrant results.

This shade will require a level 10 white blonde base. This shade does not hold as much pigmentation within its formula so will need a blank canvas in order to produce a visible result.

Faster Fade Rate
Those shades that appear lighter in tone will be the first to fade. Pastel shades and light shades hold less pigmentation within the formulas; this enables the colour to fade much quicker than those that produce vibrant and bold results. These shades make a great option for those who enjoy changing their hair colour on a regular basis or are only able to colour their hair for a certain amount of time.

Regular Fade Rate
These shades hold a standard amount of pigmentation so tend to fade at a regular rate of 4-6 weeks. This can differ due to certain actions such as how the colour is maintained and the base colour that the colour was originally applied to.

Bolder For Longer

Due to high pigmentation levels, these shades are expected to stick around between 6-8+ weeks. The longevity of your colour can be altered depending on how the colour is maintained once coloured, however, it is best to ensure you are committed to the colour due to its added pigmentation.

With longevity between 6-8 weeks with proper hair care, these colours are to be carefully considered.
These colours will appear more visible when applied to pre-lightened hair, however, some of the more pigmented and darker colours such as reds and blues may produce a slight tint on a darker base colour.
