Calico Hair

A recent hair colour trend that has cropped up on our feeds is Calico Hair. This beautiful multi-dimensional style is inspired by the characteristic fur of calico cats. The calico pattern consists of black, white and orange tones and has been found to inspire a beautiful new creative colouring technique and style for human hair too!

The warm and natural tones of this colouration make the concept of calico hair an accessible option for many. Incorporating deep brunette or black shades that allow the warm hues of creamy blonde and copper oranges to pop! Manic Panic affiliate, @cassieolivia_hair created a low-maintenance version of this hairstyle and incorporated some of the Manic Panic hair dyes to complete this look. These include Electric Tiger Lily mixed with Pastel-izer for the soft copper tone and Silver Stiletto Toner to create a bright blonde hue.

Electric Blue

Pack a punch this spring with an electric blue twist! This vibrant tone is not for the faint-hearted and we recommend ensuring you’re ready for the commitment before application as it isn’t the easiest colour to remove, but we are such big fans of this shade. This electric blue hair colour is a bold statement that we are loving from spring; its alternative aesthetic is the perfect way to embrace a unique and stand-out result!

Fancy yourself a bit of a daredevil but not quite ready for the full-head application? We love this black and electric blue transformation by the creative director at @harnessandmane, incorporating a small amount of Celestine Blue from our Professional Colour range but still creating a colourful impact. If you like the look of this blue tone but you don’t have a salon account, why not try Rockabilly Blue from our High Voltage or Amplified Formula range to create a similar result?

Cherry Cola

This vibrant hair colour isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! The cherry cola hair colour remains a favourite amongst those who love vivid hair colours. Having debuted her red hair to the world back in 2023, global pop star Dua Lipa has tried new hair colours but always seems to come back to the fiery tone of this trending shade. We’ve seen a range of different variations of this colour over the years, from vibrant red tones to more muted deep blood red hues and all have won our hearts!

In the Manic Panic red semi-permanent range, there is an abundance of shades to choose from that can create multiple variations of this trending hair colour. For those deep and luscious tones we recommend Vampire Red or Infra Red as options for semi permanent red hair dye for dark hair; alternatively, if you desire a more vibrant result, why not try Rock ‘N’ Roll Red or Vampire’s Kiss on pre-lightened hair and make the most of that pink undertone? One of our affiliates @zofija.witch knows exactly what she’s talking about when it comes to embracing those sultry red hues, she even wears it herself! @zofija.witch used Wildfire red Manic Panic from our range over her brunette hair to create this enchanting red hue and we’re still obsessed with those lengths.

Pastels Are Back

Did pastels ever really go anywhere? Well if they did, spring is the perfect time to get your dose of pastel hair in! This time of year screams pastels, whether it's your hair, your clothes or your house, it’s a very fitting colour scheme for spring and we love the way that many of you choose to embrace it. There are many ways to create a coloured hairstyle using these lightly pigmented tones; pastel hair highlights, pastel rainbows, or how about a pastel money piece?

Our ambassador @emdoeshair232 brought spring with her recent pastel-coloured transformation. Using a combination of Manic Panic hair colours, she modified these vibrant tones by neutralising them with the Manic Panic Pastel-izer to create these beautiful soft shades.

Multi-Tonal

If you’re planning a captivating and striking transformation, why settle for just one colour? Two-tone and tri-tone styles have come into action for spring and we’re not sad about it. Similar to the calico style, but this time it’s only vivid hair colours allowed. There are so many ways to successfully achieve this style, whether you opt for colour blocking, balayage, or split dye. Colours used aren’t always from the same family either; many choose to incorporate shades that sit either side of the spectrum, whilst others opt for similar tones to create a seamless blend.

Manic Panic UK affiliate and colour enthusiast @heatherreid__ has jumped back into the world of vivid hair and is making a statement! Using 2 of our brightest shades, @heatherreid__ opted for a Hot Hot Pink and Purple Haze combination and the result is heaven. The placement of these colours gives a beautiful finish by layering the two shades to create a peekaboo effect with the purple tone. How would you wear your multi-tonal look?
