If you have just returned to work or school this week, it may only feel like the start of the new year now even though we are already over a week in. With new year’s resolutions, goals to work towards and plans to organise, the beginning of a new year can sometimes feel a little daunting and overwhelming. Before we decide to delve head-first into 2025, we’ve chosen to take this time to reflect on the year that we have just had with our 2024 Wrapped blog post!
2024 was a year full of excitement and positivity for us at Manic Panic. With new product launches, new collaborations and trends, and 365 days of vibrant colour, we’ve got to say that last year was terrific and it is down to the fantastic support that we have received from you! With that being said, let's take a look at some of the key moments of 2024 and remind ourselves of the goodness that came from it.
Kicking off the year right, in January we introduced a bundle of exciting new products and shades for you to explore. Within this collection was the brand-new Hair Freshener Dry Shampoo, an aerosol-free dry shampoo designed to absorb the natural oils in your hair and leave it smelling fresh of citrus. The Hair Freshener Dry Shampoo took users by surprise when they learnt that this product is powdered; its dry formula makes it much kinder to both the hair and the environment whilst also remaining an easy-to-use product.
We also launched 7 new shades within our iconic High Voltage Classic Colour range: Pussycat Pink, Pink Warrior, Divine Wine, Sea Goddess, Twilight Blue, Alien Grey and Amethyst Ashes. All unique and interesting in their way, these colours were very quickly picked up by our Dye Hards with Pink Warrior and Pussycat Pink selling out within a couple of months! Now all back in stock, these colours are awaiting their opportunity to brighten and transform your 2025.
Finally, we were so pleased to introduce a highly sought-after product to the UK range. The Mermaid Hair Repair Mask in our much larger 8oz pot! Having been such a hit with the Manic Panic shoppers due to the highly beneficial and health-improving formula of the Mermaid Mask, the 8oz pot was necessary to ensure that users took the time to treat and look after their hair, creative or not. Shop this highly desirable product today either as a single or within our Hair Care Bundle; find out more about the Mermaid Mask here.
February brought exciting news from America with actress Megan Fox debuting her new hair colour ready for the Grammys 2024. Hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos transformed Megan’s hair from her usually deep brown tone to the pastel sweet shade that is Cotton Candy Pink Amplified! Perfectly timed around the month of love, Cotton Candy Pink became the must-have shade for February whether in our Classic Colour formula or Amplified.
We were also blessed with the exciting launch of GLiTCH in February. Manic Panic UK Ambassador, Kitti Clarke and Art House photographer/bestie Cat Maund worked together to create a truly bold and exciting collection of looks captured in magical lighting. GLiTCH is a UV-focused collection in which the hair is displayed in both natural lighting and under blacklight! The journey to create this fantastic shoot is both inspiring and entertaining; to take a look at the images themselves and read all about Kitti and Cat’s experience creating GLiTCH, check out our interview with them here.
Speaking of bold and exciting hair, in 2024 we built new relationships with so many different stylists all with the unique talent to create wonderful vibrant hair! Now Manic Panic UK affiliates, let's take a look at some of the work that these talented professionals got up to with the Manic Panic colours last year!
Paige Fleming is a Scottish hair stylist with a passion for blondes, brunettes and vivids! If you were to take a glance at Paige’s Instagram page, you might think that her work embodies a more natural coloured approach, but we were intrigued by the vibrant looks that appeared once we took a closer look! Since Paige became a Manic Panic UK affiliate, her creative colour work has continued to blow us away with vivid Halloween-themed looks, to otherworldly UV looks. Take a look at more of Paige’s work on her Instagram page.
We have also had the pleasure of working with stylist, Brooke Pascarelli based in Norwich and London. Passionate about all things transformative, we love Brooke’s style of work and the awesome vivid looks that she has created so far with the Manic Panic hair dyes. All you need to do is check out Brooke’s Instagram page and you’ll easily get an insight into her alternative and exciting vibe!
We have been incredibly lucky all year to have worked with such talented hairstylists and at-home colour enthusiasts. Each of our affiliates continues to create unique and exciting Manic Panic hair that we adore! To see all of the work from our affiliates, check out the Manic Panic UK gallery space!
As always, Salon International was a pinnacle moment for Manic Panic UK. We attended the show with four ambassadors and created the perfect weekend! With demonstrations from Mykey O’Halloran, Kitti Clarke, Emma Pullen, and Gunel Kelly, the Manic Panic stand was a centre point for all those who attended the show and loved vivid hair colouring. This year, we brought along a photo booth for all of the Dye Hards to get involved in; taking pictures with ambassadors, our founders and their friends and colleagues, all whilst wearing a selection of vividly coloured Manic Panic wigs!
And with that, the end of the year is near. With just Halloween and Christmas to go, we were ready to end the year with a vibrant spark! Manic Panic UK Ambassador, Emma Pullen brought us a truly spooky collection for Halloween with a vampire-inspired shoot ‘Fangs For The Nightmares’. The location and hair colour choices for this collection perfectly reflect the scary vibe that Emma chose to portray!
2024 ended just as it began, with something new. In December, the very popular Love Color™ Conditioner range expanded with two new colours introduced. Purple Rose and Forest Nymph Green are two shades that many have pleaded for since the launch of this range and we are so pleased that we have finally been able to bring them to the collection. Find out everything you need to know about these new shades through the Manic Panic blog.
