We have a few colours within the orange collection that continue to be favourites. These include shades such as Manic Panic High Voltage classic hair colours in Electric Tiger Lily and Psychedelic Sunset.
For those of you that are maybe looking to join the other side of the spectrum, we do also have the Manic Panic Dreamsicle shade from the Creamtones Perfect Pastel collection.
What to expect from the Manic Panic orange hair dyes:
Manic Panic Electric Tiger Lily: a warm-toned shade, with slight red undertones. A perfect Autumn/Winter colour.
Manic Panic Psychedelic Sunset: a vivid and vibrant shade, offering neon and red tones throughout the colour dependent on hair type and the natural base colour.
Manic Panic Dreamsicle: a soft and subtle orange and pink blend, offering a peachy pink.
We love these shades of orange so much, we find them one of the easiest colours in which we can put creations together with other colours such as combining and mixing colours together, or whether may you use the dyes to create an ombré effect. These orange shades are so versatile and allow for creators and bold colour lovers to experiment with unique shades and colours by mixing them with other Manic Panic colours, or trying new styles such as split dyed hair.
Manic Panic Electric Tiger Lily is a very enticing colour with its rich and warming tones. However, because of these wonderful attributes, it does mean that this particular colour does require a pre-lightening process of up to a level 9. Without this process before dying the hair, the colour will not intensify enough to be visibly seen.
If the preparation for the dye is done correctly, you will find the colour is a gorgeous rich orange begging to be worn with pride. Electric Tiger Lily has a life expectancy of 10 washes before you notice the colour start to fade, however, this does depend on how the colour is looked after and maintained from the appliance of the dye to the complete washout.
Manic Panic Psychedelic Sunset is the ultimate orange! Every time I look at it, I can’t help but think of the Hayley Williams orange hair phase that we all know and love. The colour has such a warmth to it, similar to the Manic Panic Electric Tiger Lily shade, but with Psychedelic Sunset you’ll find that the final result is very striking and almost neon compared to the other orange shades. Lucky for you, this colour also has a regular fade rate that will last you up to 10 washes before it starts to fade. This is done by ensuring the maintenance of the colour is being properly executed by using the correct products when washing. Due to the brightness and how vivid this colour is, the base colour that the dye is applied to will need to have either reached a level 8 when pre-lightening, or the natural colour should be of a medium blonde. However, if a true Psychedelic Sunset colour including its intense orange tones is what you were truly looking for, it would be best to lighten the hair to a level 9.
From the Manic Panic Creamtones Perfect Pastel collection, you will find the Manic Panic Dreamsicle shade. This pastel orange shade is a very creamy and soothing colour, formulated with warm undertones which creates a beautiful peachy outcome. With the pastel shades, you will find that due to their very light nature, the base colour the dye is then applied to will need to be extremely light. Pre-lightening the before colour to a level 10 at least is extremely essential. Also, because of the lightness of this colour, you will find that they will fade from your hair a lot faster. This will occur as these pastel-ized shades are a lot less pigmented than the other Manic Panic shades.
How do I go about maintaining my colour, so it lasts longer?
On the Manic Panic website, we do have a few products that may help along the road of hair colour maintenance. You will find the ‘Not Fade Away’ shampoo and the ‘Keep Colour Alive’ conditioner which has both been specially formulated to help keep your hairs condition and colour in tip-top condition.
