Starting with Rumi; the demon hunter you’ll know, if you’ve seen the film, as the one who can hit all of those impressive high notes! Rumi wears a single, super-long braid that starts at her hairline and hangs as low as her knees. Rumi’s hair is a beautiful purple crystal shade and is admired as one of her main features throughout the film.
To create a similar bold kpop purple hair look, we love Electric Amethyst as an option. This electric purple hair dye is beautifully vibrant and exhibits a standout pigment similar to that of Rumi’s braid. Alternatively, if you would prefer a soft purple shade for this look, you could choose Velvet Violet. This pastel purple colour is also perfectly on brand for this trend; its subtle yet creative tone provides a futuristic and star-like result!
Another member of the KPop Demon Hunters, Mira, is also an inspiration in the world of colourful K-pop hair! In the film, Mira rocks beautiful rose gold locks that, just like Rumi’s, fall down the length of her back. Her hair is tied up into two ponytails on either side of her head in a half-up, half-down style.
Create your own take on Mira’s hair with the Manic Panic colours; try mixing Cleo Rose with the Pastel-izer. Cleo Rose is a beautiful vibrant rose-pink tone; adding this tone to the Pastel-izer will create a more neutral and subtle shade and can be customised to produce a similar dusky pink colour as Mira’s hair. This soft kpop pink hair shade is very popular with K-pop artists and is sure to fit right in with this trend!
Finally, Zoey from the Kpop Demon Hunters rocks a natural black hue, which suits her cool rapper girl aesthetic perfectly. Zoey’s hair is an awesome alternative for those that are not ready to commit to the bleach. Wearing her hair in her signature style of two buns and a super cool pixie fringe, Zoey is a cool girl's inspiration!
To create Zoey’s look on your own hair, you’ll be needing Raven! This true black shade can be applied to nearly all hair colours to create the desired result. This colour embodies and creates a chic finish with a glossy shine! Keep on top of your liquorice black hair dye with the Black Kat Love Color™ Colour Depositing Conditioner.
You’ll also notice the beautiful hair colours of the members in The Saja Boys, the 5-part band made up of demons sent to manipulate the fans of Huntr/x. Four of the Saja Boys wear awesome pastel hair colours that you can recreate with Manic Panic! Our Creamtones Perfect Pastel collection holds a small selection of pastel tones that are great for the K-pop trend.

If you choose to create your own kpop hair colour using these Manic Panic colours, remember that you’ll need to prep your hair properly. Here are our top tips to create a result worthy of this trend:
Prep your hair by washing it with our Prepare To Dye Clarifying Shampoo. This will help to remove any buildup from previous products.
Pre-lighten your hair. Lightening your hair with bleach will allow the hair colours to produce a bright and visible result. Pre-lightening is especially essential when using pastel tones.
Tone your base. Once you’ve reached the correct level of lightness, you’ll need to tone your hair to remove any unwanted tones that may cause undesirable results.
Saturate and leave to process. Ensure you have properly saturated your hair using the hair dye. Once the application is done, leave the dye to process for a minimum of 30 minutes (our hair dyes are highly conditioning, so can be left for an extended amount of time, such as 2 hours, without causing damage.)
Rinse in cold water. Semi-permanent hair dye should always be rinsed and cleaned with cold water to help lock the pigment in for longer.
We love the influence that the new KPop Demon Hunters movie has been having on our styling choices, and these beautiful vivid hair colours are awesome for a new season!
