Are you looking for unique and fresh Halloween hair ideas? We highly recommend giving this calico-inspired hairstyle a go; there’s still plenty of time to grab your Manic Panic hair colours and create the ultimate witchy and ethereal result! Here’s how to create Anna Voumvounidou’s Halloween creation.
To create this hair for Halloween, you will need Electric Lizard, Purple Haze, and Raven from the Manic Panic collection. Ensure you have three tint brushes and bowls to avoid mixing the colours. Wear gloves and old clothes during application, as the dyes can cause staining if they come into contact with skin, clothing, and surfaces.
Preparation
To ensure a visible finish, you will need to pre-lighten your hair to at least a level 8 blonde; however, Anna has not pre-lightened the hair for this service. Instead, Anna has worked with a light base that contained various washed-out vivid tones to create a dimensional and multi-tonal result.
Colour Application
To begin your colour application, ensure each of your colours has been prepared so that you can easily access them.
Apply Purple Haze globally to the root area. Ensure the colour has been evenly applied and fully saturated the hair. Whilst working on the roots, isolate a small panel on one side of the crown for the Electric Lizard application.
Now that the roots have been coloured, begin to pull your Purple Haze down through the mid-lengths to the ends of your hair. When doing this step, leave a select few panels untouched.
On your untouched panels, apply the Electric Lizard tone to add a vibrant colour alternative and enhance the spooky colour theme of this look.
Using Raven black, add depth and contrast by adding a small amount to your chosen ends and blending a few inches.
Leave your colour to process for at least 40 minutes. Once complete, rinse with cold water and style as desired.
Inspired by the extremely beloved Beetlejuice movie, these colours are screaming Halloween in our opinion. Not only do these gorgeous Halloween hair colours create the overwhelming feel of the spooky season, but they also fit into one of the biggest hair colouring trends, so we are all for it this autumn
This look makes a great option for the Halloween season because its colours provide a versatile approach depending on your chosen Halloween costume; go for a witchy approach this October or something more specific like Maleficent. The Manic Panic colours are all semi-permanent, so it is the perfect way to embrace a new seasonal look that will allow you to switch it up again in the future - but remember, colour will fade at a different rate depending on certain attributes.

Here’s some of our top tips to ensure you have a long lasting hair colour during the Halloween period:
Don’t wash your hair too often - dry shampoo is your new best friend! Try our Hair Freshener™ Dry Shampoo, an aerosol-free product with a beautiful citrus scent.
Use sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner.
Use only cold water to wash your hair.
Avoid applying heat when hair styling, or at least keep the temperature down.
Protect your hair on sunny days by wearing a hat or a head scarf.
Deep condition your locks when you do wash your hair to keep the pores closed and your hair nourished.
