Finding your perfect hair colour can be a great feeling; one that ticks all of the boxes you laid out that make up the ideal pick for your needs. However, sometimes it can be fun to change up your look and try something different. Straying away from that colour you worked so hard to find can be difficult, but with Manic Panic the decision doesn’t have to be so hard.
The Manic Panic Pastel-izer is a unique product designed to neutralise any highly pigmented shade and create a pastel version using its same tones. With this product, you no longer need to spend time searching for something similar in colour that in fact does not contain the same tones as your favourite shade at all. Customising and creating your own hair colour couldn’t be easier!
Just the same as all Manic Panic hair colours, the Pastel-izer is 100% vegan and cruelty-free and is also formulated using 98% conditioner to keep your hair looking and feeling nourished and smooth.
Using the Manic Panic Pastel-izer couldn’t be more simple. This product gives you the freedom to create a colour that fits your vision and hair situation; whether you’re working with a toned ice-white blonde base or you already fit within the light blonde criteria, you can create something that is well-suited to your needs and hair expectations.

How to use the Manic Panic Pastel-izer
It is important to note that pastelized shades do require a base colour between a level 8-10 depending on how pigmented you make your custom colour. Also, it is important to consider that semi-permanent colours will last much longer on a pre-lightened base, especially when using a lightly pigmented dye
What you will need:
1 pot of Pastel-izer (depending on the length and thickness of your hair)
Manic Panic colour of your choice
Mixing Bowl
Tint Brush
Gloves

Empty your pot of Pastel-izer into the hair dye mixing bowl that you have to hand. Now it’s time to add some colour! It is always best to add your colour little by little and then mix it well with the Pastel-izer using your tint brush before adding more. This way you can stay in control of how pigmented the colour becomes. We also highly recommend swatch testing the colour as you go - you could use a piece of paper towel for this.
Once you have reached your desired shade, you are ready to apply your new colour! Apply your custom formula to a clean and dry base in sections. Ensure that you have thoroughly saturated the intended portion/s of your hair and leave the colour to develop for a minimum of 30 minutes or longer.
Once your developing time has been completed, rinse your hair using cool/cold water ensuring all of the dye has been removed and do not use shampoo. We recommend using the Manic Panic Keep Colour Alive conditioner to help lock in your new colour.
Now that you are rocking your brand new Manic Panic Pastel-izer colour, we want to help you keep your new look alive for longer!
Maintaining your Pastel-izer colour
We all want to get the most out of our brand-new hair colour and we’ve got some great tips to help you along the way. All colours last for different amounts of time; those more pigmented shades will last much longer than a pastel hair tone. Depending on how much of your colour you added to the Pastel-izer formula and how it is maintained, these custom pastel tones tend to last in the hair between 2-4 weeks.
Wash your hair as infrequently as possible and only when needed
Wash your hair in cool/cold water if possible
